The Left Out Knitter is a left-handed knitter spreading the word about the freedom of knitting left-handed. She has knitted a variety of ways and after one particularly frustrating experience with a lace project, she stopped knitting. After swatching and documenting every aspect of knitting left-handed, she shares this information with you. At this site you can ask a question in the "guestbook" section, read about different ways to knit left-handed, or purchase the first "How to Knit Left-Handed" DVD. There is even a funny and informative book and another DVD in the works. No matter what she's writing or talking about, The Left Out Knitter does it all from a left-handed point of view.
What viewers are saying
"...your videos are superb! Thank you for making them." Mary B
"Though I don't know you, I swear that I love you! <G> You are such an inspiration, and I hope nothing more than for your book to become a reality. Since I changed to the knit [method] that you recommended, my finished items are looking awesome and my speed is tremendous." Falon H.
"I wanted to say that Diane's videos are fantastic. I feel like I have been living on a different planet and I have finally met someone of my own species!!! I am sure there are lots of potential lefties out there that could really benefit from the videos since the likelihood of getting a lefty knitting group together (at least where I live) isn't too great. With all the knitting stores in this country I am sure there is a healthy market out there and owning a DVD to refer back to could be a wonderful thing for people. The website is great but what if, heaven forbid, the internet went down when you wanted to check out Diane's site?" Kathy
"You go girl!!! I had tried many times to learn to knit "right handed" and gave up in frustration. I just couldn't get my fingers to work that way. Three years later I was determined to learn because I wanted to make my grandaughter's christening dress. Thanks to your encouragement, I suceeded!!" Di C.
“Thank you so much for your videos....I have had so many
people in my family try and teach me to knit left-handed with no success. I
watched your video and OMG I finally get it!! ...Leftinch”
